Introducing #CRLiterature
With the new year, one of the things that the literature gallery moderators want to focus on is the interaction and growth of the community as a whole, and part of that is being able to chat in a comfortable environment that will still further artistic and personal growth. And so, with this new year we have decided to launch CRLiterature, a Community Relations chatroom for literature.
The Chatroom Structure
The first step toward integrating the community as a whole is the overlooking of user symbols in building the chat structure. All users start off in the Writers privclass, so that everyone has the same footing when trying to take part in the chat. The hope is that the room will grow to be a pleasant environment for literature discussion, or even just friendly banter. As people become regularly involved in the room, they will be given the option to be moved to one of three privclasses based on their interest in writing form (poet, proser, scriptwriter). The only privclasses that do not reflect this are the Hacks and Typewriters privclasses. These privclasses are for the literature gallery moderators and chat moderators, and are only separate from other privclasses for the sake of chat moderation.
The Rules
FAQ #287: What rules apply to the Chat Network?
These rules are to be followed at all times, as they are ground rules for deviantART's chat network. In addition to these, there are a few rules specific to CRLiterature:
No spamming.
Please do not advertise your art in the chat. If you're looking to promote your artwork, why not try :#Thumbsshare: or the ThumbShare Forums?
In the case of a critique night, this rule is semi-lifted; however, if it is not your turn to get critique, don't post thumbs.
If an issue ever happens within the chatroom, please note the CRLiterature account with some form of chat log explaining/detailing the issue(s) at hand.
The Kickoff
To get the room going, we're going to hold a meet and greet/Q&A session on Sunday, January 9th, at 8 pm GMT (What time is that for me?). If the Q&A session is done relatively early, then we may hold a critique night as well. We hope to see you all there!

Bear with me, this'll be a long one.
Hello all! Thank you for all the well wishes...I wanted to reply to them individually, but honestly I'm not sure what I've got to say aside from thank you. My hope was always that I was doing a good job, but I'm tough on myself when I really care about something, so I never really felt like I was doing enough. I'm glad I had the chance to be on the team, and thank you all for following me along the way, and catching me when I was wrong and supporting me when I wasn't. It all means the world to me.

And that's that.
Now that lit week is over, I just wanted to let you all know that Monday is my last day as a GM. I'll be posting a longer journal about it later, but I just wanted you all to know the real reason why I've not been accepting DD suggestions is because I won't be featuring any more. :]

In case you haven't heard, radioPooh (https://www.deviantart.com/radiopooh) and karyaazure (https://www.deviantart.com/karyaazure) both passed away yesterday. I'd never really talked with David much myself, but he had a large impact on a lot of people I know, and from what I can tell he was always very well-liked around here. Erica was one of the first people to greet me to the chat system, when I first

to be doing better things than sitting around complaining about a feature on an art website, like helping the people in Brisbane, or helping a man go to school so he can make a living, or helping a friend get through a rough situation, or even just spreading the word about people in Brazil who are in need of help.
