News from the GMs
Memnalar and I were taking it in turns to be away from the computer this past month, so updates weren't quite as frequent, but we're not trying to neglect you, honest! In case you missed them, here's the updates we posted:
- Memnalar held the first in a series of Lit Group Focus articles, starting with Adopt-A-Writer.
- Memnalar also started another Yarnraising, this time with a work by writerism!
- I held a prose contest for dA's 10th birthday and released the results.
- I fell behind a bit on the Lit Fortnightly articles, but here is the most recent one.
- Literature Daily Deviations - August 2010
Some things from the community:
- Banned Books Week starts toward the end of the month, and PinkyMcCoversong is starting the festivities early! Be sure to check out her journal and blog for more details.
- The World Fusion poetry contest is running until September 13th, so you've still got some time to get your entries in!
- Have you checked out the Fantasy Literature forum recently? Tuttlebird has been trying to bring some life back into it, so if you've got some thoughts on fantasy writing, check it out!
- Several dA writers were published in the 25th anniversary issue of Deakin University's literary journal Verandah, and Jade-Pandora's poem, Epoch, was named the winner of the 2010 Matthew Rocca Poetry Prize. Go congratulate her on the win!
- Exillior posted the results for her Flame(s) contest!
- secondmagpie has posted an article featuring the writers and photographers who took part in fotoFRIDAY throughout the month of August.
- LITplease is back with the What's in a Name? Poetry Contest!
